PROSTHETICS

What is prosthetics?

Usually, dental prosthetics is used when it is too late for conservative treatment. Prostheticsis the reconstruction and replacement of lost or damaged hard tooth tissues with the use ofrestorations. Although the main task is to replace missing teeth, more and more oftenpatients want to improve the aesthetics of their smile, its color or shape.

Types of prosthetic restorations offered at Estima

Permanent prosthetic restorations:

Permanent prosthetic restorations:

Inlays/Onlays/Overlays – These are used to restore teeth that have been damaged bydecay or trauma but are not severely damaged to require a prosthetic crown. They arecharacterized by greater strength than classic composite fillings, tight reconstruction ofcontact points and greater saving of hard tooth tissues than other prosthetic restorations. Prosthetic crown - it is recommended in the case of very extensive damage to toothtissues. It can be placed both on the natural root of the tooth and on the implant. At Estima, depending on the patient's needs, we offer an all-ceramic cad cam crown and a crownveneered with porcelain on ceramic sinters. All-ceramic veneer – a thin but durable porcelain flake glued to the prepared front surfaceof the tooth. It is a popular aesthetic method to improve the shape and color of teeth. It canlengthen and widen teeth, as well as correct minor fractures and chips. Complete reconstruction of the occlusion ensures joint health and highly improvedaesthetics according to the Viennese school of occlu

Removable prosthetic restorations:

Removable prosthetic restorations:

complete denture – a complete denture replaces all teeth in the upper or lower jaw and imitates the natural appearance of teeth and gums. It is individually adjusted to the patient to maintain the comfort of everyday functioning. partial dentures – these are individual constructions designed to supplement single or several missing teeth. They have special buckles that facilitate attachment to natural teeth. Immediate denture - It is placed immediately after tooth extraction and is intended to temporarily replace natural teeth, providing aesthetics and functionality to the patient until a permanent denture is fitted. For the proper functioning of the temporomandibular joints, a stable position of the mandible and the correct, unchanging height of the ridges are necessary, which is why we recommend supporting dentures on natural teeth or implants.

Permanent work based on implants

Permanent work based on implants

We also do permanent prosthetic restorationsfully based on implants. Implants provide a stable base and they are comfortable anddurable.

Do you dream of a whiter smile? Remember that it is not possible to whiten prosthetic work, so we recommend whitening your teeth before choosing the color of the denture.

The art of good prosthetics is extraordinary precision and accuracy as well as a sense of aesthetics.
