Laser technology is used in the treatment of various diseases of the oral cavity. Laser therapyuses intense laser light to precisely and imperceptibly trim tissues, eliminate bacteria, reduceinflammation, relieve pain and stimulate tissue regeneration.
Treatments on soft and hard tissues require a precise approach and proper preparation. Theuse of laser therapy can bring many benefits to the patient. Depending on the type of laserused, it can serve various purposes. In the case of soft tissue procedures, less bleeding canbe achieved, which results in a faster course of the procedure and reduced need for sutures.What's more, treatment performed with the use of a laser may result in less swelling, as wellas a reduction in the use of antibiotics due to the bactericidal effect of the laser. Tissues arefully decontaminated, resulting in a high percentage of treatment success. Anotherimportant aspect is the reduction of scar formation.
